My letter was published!

I sent a letter to the Herald a couple days ago, because I was angry about an article they had published. The title seemed fairly objective "Same-sex Marraige Battle Shifts to Children", but in my belief the article was full of judgmental conclusions, by people who really didn't have a lot of evidence. I can't imagine how awful it would be to face criticisms like this on a daily basis, just because of your sexual orientation. This intolerance should not be acceptable, and that prompted me to write the letter. I like the title, "Judge Not".

There we go, my first letter to the editor. And in other news, to add to the fun of the short hair I died it red!! Well, it's pretty temporary but I love the colour. You see, I'm going to Rocky Horror tonight as Columbia in PJ's, so I figured that dying my hair would add the extra touch. I'm pretty excited.

I'm getting pretty good at the one-handed self-portraits.

Well said, congrats! I love when I see letters to the editor published like that, stops me from having to tear the paper in two, from frustration. Hope you have fun tonight at Rocky Horror...oh and love the new hair colour (but I'm bias, i'm a redhead too) :)

That's exactly how I feel.
Some of the articles in our paper make me very angry.

Thanks!
When I was little I had very red hair, but now I guess I can settle with dying it.

Great letter in the paper today, Hilary. I saved it. You made excellent points and you are very articulate (of course).
Your hair looks so cute that colour, you should consider keeping it that way.
Have a blast at RHPS!

Thankyou so much Barbara!
I'm so glad that the letter turned out well, I was pretty mad about the article.

I really am digging the hair!
I just went to the dollar store and bought all the necessary items for Rocky Horror, I'm so excited!
