Ulysses Sleepover

Possibly not the coolest kinda of sleepover.
So after we went to a movie, Snakes On A Plane. Snakes was surprisingly better than I thought, in a cute, B-movie kind of way. Not excellent. But it was okay. There were some funny parts and some very gory parts. I liked when the huge Anaconda tried to swallow the snotty english dude (English people are generally given bad roles in American movies) and when the bodyguard piloted the plane to safety with his PS2 knowledge.

Then, Jenn decided to stay over, and bring Ulysses with her. We got home, watched a movie (Before Night Falls) which was about a Cuban writer who was jailed and stuff, and exiled cause he was gay. Johnny Depp appeared to be in this movie, but really didn't have a huge part as the transvestite/weird lieutenant dude. In the end of the movie he gets exiled to New York, and after living there he dies of AIDS. It was a depressing movie. After that I read about 20 pages of Ulysses, which brings me to 550. Jenn read Ulysses too.

Jenn=Left w/ long hair Hilary=Right w/short hair

Then this morning, we heard Sounds Like Canada. I'd like to thank the dude who wrote in, grateful of my Jefferson Airplane selection. Not everyone listens to only Frank and Nancy Sinatra from 1967. I was also astonished at being called a "14year old wonder girl". Thanks Jian, my mum's laughing at me now. I hope everyone liked my message (and Jenn's also), and I meant no offense to those over 39, because you guys are as fresh as daisies. "Old man" just has a nice ring to it.

Thanks Allison.

It was pretty funny.
And we both got to listen to our messages in the morning.

A Ulysses-themed sleepover? You guys are so cool. Love the decor, by the way. Maybe you could ask Jian for a photo or something to hang by the flag. I've got one (AUTOGRAPHED!!) on my wall. He's really cool like that. I was going to get a flag, too, but it would clash so badly with the blue... Alas.
*salutes wondergirl before leaving this webpage* =P

I heard both you and Jen on SLC today!! Is this the third time you were mentioned on SNL in as many days?
For reading that book you earned it kid!

Haha, Ariel it was pretty cool.
Thanks I'm thinking of painting my room though, because it's like that ucky creme colour that rooms are always originally painted. That would be sweet, but I don't think I'll ever get the chance to meet Jian. But a signed picture is awesome!!! Heehee, wondergirl.

Awesome Barbara! It is the third time, there's been a couple Hilary-related letters. I'm grateful for them cause they were both very nice.
Thanks, =).

Book reading sleepovers! Wish I had thought of that. You are getting to be more popular than Chris Murphy on SLC.

Haha, I wish.
But Jian still hasn't accepted my invitation to the Who concert! And he knows about it too. Heehee.
=)

He's a busy busy boy, I suppose. However, I still scold him for procrastinating. Who could pass up the double-stardom of the Who AND you?

I didn't get to meet Jian, either... *tear* I just stuck a request at the end of an email. His friend/assistant Ashley, from the Jian boards, passed it along. I spazzed out with glee when it came.

Haha, yeah. Fourth row seats aren't too shabby either.

Did you get an autograph in the mail or something? I passed the message on to Ashley, and Ashley passed it on to Jian. But like you said, he's busy.

Mint Sharpie said...

Yep. I was staking out my mailbox for weeks, waiting for that thing...

BTW, if you don't get an answer from Jian, can I come? *puppy face*

That's awesome. It seems he's really gracious toward his fans.

You'd have to buy a plane ticket to Calgary though!

Mint Sharpie said...

Oh right... Man! My parents won't even let me catch a train to Philly. Plus I'm broke. Plus I refuse to step onto a plane until all the crazy nasty security blah is over. Unless it's one of those little private ones. Which I don't have. =(

Have a good time at the concert!

I wish I had a private jet.
That'd be very cool.
