Here's the interview with me. I hope I'm not breaking any laws. I made it as a video, because I'm not tech savvy enough to do anything else. The bonus is the "interesting" visuals.
btw. It probably takes a millenia to load. Have fun.

DUDE!!!!!!! I think Jian has become your biggest fan. Seriously, he seemed quite taken with you and btw you guys were hilarious.
Great segment on the radio today. I liked how you freaked Jian out with the Jefferson Airplane song - so much more effective than the Smiths would have been.
Excellent job. You sounded very much like I thought you would - smart, hip, funny, and more than a little sassy.
Thanks Barbara!!!!!!!
I'm glad it was so funny, that kinda started when I began to refer to him as "old".
I loved his reaction to that song, it was awesome! And his statement about scaring your kids out of drugs. I threw the Smiths in there to poke fun at my arrogance, heehee.
I'm glad you think so, that's who I wanted it to sound. You should give Jian credit for being an awesome interviewer, and making it really easy for me to sound entertaining.
I'm commenting again :) I'm now making my office listen to the West coast feed ;)
My boss is a Ulysses fan too, plus I missed the first couple of mins this morning.
Aww, thanks Allison. I hope your office enjoys it!! I'm getting calls now every couple minutes from my mum's nice CBC-listening friends.
Thanks Barbara W.!
I hope they will, then perhaps the interview accomplished something. =)
A 14 Year old contributor? Sounds revolutionary. I just commented Barbara!
Hilary, you are well on your way to becoming Canada's next big thing. In fact, you're already there. Can I have your autograph? =P
And where might I get that song? ; )
Haha. Thanks Ariel, but I'm more like Canada's Next Nerdy Fourteen Year Old To Read Ulysses and Tell Jian Ghomeshi About It. Heehee.
=)
And the song (I'm assuming, Rejoyce) is off a Jefferson Airplane album called "After Bathing With Baxter's" which is also apparently Ulysses influenced. Jefferson Airplane aren't always over-the-top in their physchedelic-ness, and they have some pretty good 60's songs.
Thanks! Sweet, an excuse to go on a music hunt!
Haha you were so mean to Jian, but I totally agreed with his reaction to the Jefferson Airplane song =P
ps. HILARY HAS NO LIFEEEE (cause she's spending all her time reading Ulysses)
pps. when do I get my Geoooooorge poster?
I love music hunts!
Haha, I liked scaring him though, Melissa. And it was funny what he said about kids+drugs. =)
It's kinda true. I read 100 pages yesterday. That's like. 3 hours. But I really wanna get ahead of Jian.
Umm. Whenever you want? I have it here. It's just sitting, looking sad on my windowseat.
My George poster got a bit crushed in my move. He is looking sad on a pile of stuff I have to put away.
That's too bad Barbara W. He kind of looks sad in the "One" poster anyways. He's kinda smirking, but he has a bit of a melancholy look in his eyes. Maybe he was being prophetic about the show's future.
I quickly watched/listened to the interview the other day but didn't have time to leave a proper comment, so here I am, with an evening's worth of free time.
It was really enjoyable! I was totally impressed how well you handled it all, I would have been such a wreck, and you took it all like a total pro! Not to mention, you totally burned Jian so perfectly, it was awesome. :) I'm so glad it turned out so well for you, and now you're famous!
Thanks for the comment Alana!
I'm so glad everyone thought I was good, I was actually super nervous. But in the end it was really fun to do. I still kinda feel bad for Jian. My song probably gave him nightmares, and I probably made him feel old.
Man, you and Barbara B on the radio, Barbara W meeting Jian in TO, I have some catching up to do :P
Ok, random Beckyness aside, that was awesome! You did a great job! See, if that was me, I'd been like "Ummm... hi... Jian..."
You're right Becky, there's been a lot of opportunities between all of us! Thanks. I thought when Jian introduced me, I'd say something stupid like "WOAH, I'M ON SOUNDS LIKE CANADA". Thankfully, I didn't.
Hilary, you made the Blog Tracker! :)
Thanks for letting me know Alana!
